Would You Share A Bed With Your WHOLE Family? This Mom Swears By It.

bedhouse

A big part of being a mom is giving up your cozy bedspace to make room for little ones, but one Irish family has taken the family bed to a whole new level.

Yoga instructor Kim Constable and former rugby star husband Ryan believe in co-sleeping, and have happily shared their unusual sleeping arrangements with the world.

Facebook

Mom, dad, and four kids all pile into a whopping 18-foot bed every night to sleep. While it may horrify some people, Kim insists it’s a super practical arrangement.

“It all started when Corey was a baby and he started sleeping in beside Ryan and I to help keep him settled at night,” she explains.

Facebook

“Then, as more children came alone, they wanted to sleep in with us, too. When the older ones moved out and a younger one moved in, they would come back and say that’s not fair — we want to be in the big bed with you all, too.”

“In the end, we had a king size bed, a super king, and a single, all joined together to make one huge 18-foot bed which was big enough for everyone.”

Facebook

Now some of the kids are getting a little older, they have started to want their own rooms, although they occasionally spend a night in the family bedroom on a mattress on the floor.

“Our children are happy, independent, self-sufficient characters who just happen to like sharing a bed. When they are ready they ask for their own room and bed, so we have moved beds out into the spare room.”

Kim explains that she tends to go to bed with the youngest ones, around 10pm, brushing their teeth together before snuggling down for a chat and a bedtime story.

Facebook

And what about the burning question — what do Kim and Ryan for a little, er, adult time?

“Ryan and I often sleep together in the spare room, at least for part of the night, before someone will end up in the middle of us or I will go and get into the big bed.”

“We are very honest with the children and will just say mummy and daddy are going for a snuggle now and we will be in with you in a while,” says Kim simply.

These Are Some of The Most Horrifying Scientific Experiments Ever Conducted

#1. Soviet surgeon Vladmir Demikhov and his two-headed dog.

IFLS

Demikhov experimented with transplants on animals between 1930 and 1960, and one of his “pioneering” experiments included trying to fuse two dogs together.

He took the forearms and head of small, 9-year-old dog and transplanted them onto a larger stray dog, severing the jugular vein, the aorta and spinal column of the big dog and linking her circulatory system to the little pup’s.

The two dogs could eat and drink separately, but died four days after the operation — and Demikhov continued his grisly work.

#2. Glow-in-the-dark pigs.

Gizmodo

Many things can be genetically mutated to glow in the dark, but, in 2006, scientists from the National Taiwan University took genetic information from jellyfish and put it into pig embryos. The result was pigs that glowed, and their organs reportedly glowed, too.

The research was supposed to improve stem cell research and investigate human diseases, but people were just pretty freaked out.

This is MilliAnna Worthy from South Carolina, US. She was born with a seriously cool streak of white hair on top of her head.

DailyMail

And 18 months later, she is totally rocking this look.

DailyMail

The white streak of hair is caused by poliosis, which causes a lack of pigment in the hair and surrounding skin.

And it perfectly matches her mom, Brianna, who has the exact same patch of white in her hair.

DailyMail

And so does her grandma!

DailyMail

“We are unsure how far back the birthmark goes,” says Brianna, “My grandmother was adopted as a child and hasn’t met her biological family.”

DailyMail

“I was hoping she did have it. My younger sister that my mother had a few years after me didn’t get it, so I didn’t know if MilliAnna was going to, but once I had her and they laid her on my chest I saw she had it and I was so happy.”

Prince Harry Issues Rare Statement Slamming “Racist And Abusive” Media Treatment Of His Girlfriend

In a rare statement from Prince Harry via Kensington Palace, the British royal has attacked the media for directing “racism and abuse” towards his girlfriend, Meghan Markle.

VanityFair

35-year-old Meghan Markle is a successful actress, activist, UN Woman Ambassador, fashion designer, and writer, who has faced a huge amount of media scrutiny since being revealed as Prince Harry’s girlfriend.

And now, according to Harry’s statement, the prince is “worried for her safety”.

She has reportedly experienced press photographers breaking into her home, her ex-boyfriend has been offered “substantial bribes” to reveal the star’s intimate secrets.

The actress’ friends, family, and co-workers have been bombarded by media reporters, in some cases being unable to get out of their own front doors.

Prince Harry has called out the “underlying sexism and racism” within the mainstream media’s coverage. Since details of their relationship emerged, sexualized images of Markle in character (she plays Rachel Zane in Suits) have been widely posted (even to porn websites), and she has faced endless unfounded rumors concerning her personal life.

The statement reads, “It is not right that a few months into a relationship with [Prince Harry] that Ms Markle should be subjected to such a storm.”

“He knows commentators will say this is ‘the price she has to pay’ and that ‘this is all part of the game’. He strongly disagrees. This is not a game — it is her life and his.”

While Markle has so far remained quiet on the subject, it seems Prince Harry has had enough, saying he is “deeply disappointed he has not been able to protect her” and that “a line has been crossed”.

“Since he was young, Prince Harry has been very aware of the warmth that has been extended to him by members of the public … He is also aware that there is significant curiosity about his private life.”

“He has rarely taken formal action on the very regular publication of fictional stories that are written about him, and has worked hard to develop a professional relationship with the media, focused on his work and the issues he cares about.”

“He hopes that those in the press who have been driving this story can pause and reflect before any further damage is done.”

Have the media “crossed a line”, or is this really the price a woman must pay nowadays, just for being in a high-profile relationship?

Scientists Have Just Discovered This AMAZING Benefit To Having Babies After 35

Despite traditionally being told that ladies over 30 should really get their skates on when it comes to the baby-making, new research suggests that there could be benefits to having a baby after the age of 35.

Scientists in the US, according to the Journal of American Geriatrics Society, have found that having a baby after 35 actually boosts a woman’s brain power.

MummyPages

The team of researchers carried out a study involving 830 post-menopausal women, investigating the connection between mental agility and having babies later in life.

The increased brain power is believed to be due to the surge of hormones which flood the body during pregnancy, affecting the brain’s chemistry and function.

These brain changes are believed by some experts to last a lifetime, and it may be that the later you experience that hormone surge, the better.

MummyPages

Dr Roksana Karim, lead author of the study, said: “While it is not enough to suggest that women wait until after 35 years of age to close their family growth, our find of a positive effect of later age at last pregnancy on late-life cognition is novel and substantial.”

There are further claims that having a child later in life can even reduce the risk of memory loss in women.

This is Jaxon Buell. He was born with an extremely rare condition that prevents the skull and brain from fully forming, and was given a slim chance of survival by doctors when he was born.

Facebook

“In the first three weeks of Jaxon’s life, when we were still with him in the NICU and there was so much uncertainty, the doctors would continuously prepare us for the worst and to get ready to take Jaxon home simply for ‘comfort care’,” remembers Jaxon’s father, Brandon.

“They truly did not expect him to make it very long. Yet, every day that we were with Jaxon, even from the beginning, we were seeing a small glimmer of hope.”

Facebook

“It was that hope in him and the fight he always had that very naturally gave him the nickname ‘Jaxon Strong’.”

And the little boy continued to amaze and inspire countless people through his Facebook page, as he continued to get stronger and stronger.

“Our main focus is keeping Jaxon happy and comfortable and doing our best to give him the best life possible,” says Brandon.

Facebook

“We know better than anyone else how precious his days are with us. No matter what happens in the future, we know Jaxon will add something of amazing value and inspiration to this world.”

Back in September, the family celebrated little Jaxon reaching 13 months old. Now he’s 15 months old.

“Jaxon is still here with us, still learning, still developing, still thriving,” says Brandon, “He’s back to smiling at us, always so happy in the morning after he wakes up and takes turns looking at both Mommy’s and Daddy’s face.”

Facebook

“No matter who you are or what you believe in, it’s clear that Jaxon’s tiny footprints will have a lasting impression on this world.”

“For his life, I am better, I am blessed, I am grateful, and I am quite simply, one proud ‘Addy’.”

The Blind Clairvoyant Who Warned Of ISIS and 9/11 Made A Chilling Prediction About This Election

Famed clairvoyant Baba Vanga is known as the “Nostradamus of the Balkans” for her spookily accurate prophecies and, before her death in 1996, she made a worrying prediction about this very election.

DailyMail

Baba Vanga made hundreds of prophecies during her life from her home in Petrich, Bulgaria, with experts analyzing her accuracy rate as around 85% (so far). She reportedly correctly predicted the break-up of the Soviet Union, the Chernobly disaster, and the date of Stalin’s death.

In the 1950s, she warned of global warming, saying the “cold regions will become warm … volcanoes will awaken”, and in 1989 she predicted that the “American brethren” would be attacked by “two steel birds”, a possible reference to the 9/11 attacks.

DailyMail

Spookier yet, she warned a “huge wave” would descend on a “big coast, covering people and towns and [causing] everything to disappear under the water”, years before the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami that devastated South East Asia.

And one of her final predictions was that a group of Muslim extremists would invade Europe by 2016, as she foresaw a “great Muslim war” that would result in the establishment of a caliphate by 2043, centred around Rome, Italy.

DailyMail

The prophetess claimed that the 44th president of the United States would be an African-American, which came true when Barack Obama was elected.

Woman Who Spent Thousands To Look Like Barbie Says She’d Divorce Her Husband If Her Stopped Her Having More Surgery

Beauty therapist Kerry Miles, 33, grew up feeling depressed about her “plain and boring” looks, but has found new confidence since spending thousands of pounds to look like Barbie.

“People used to say I looked a bit like Barbie as a kid, and it’s just something I’ve carried on into adult life — now, I’m like a real-life Barbie doll,” she explains.

TheSun

“I always liked Barbie — I had loads of the dolls and everything was pink and very girly.”

“One day in 2010 I tried out the Barbie look properly, and I really liked it, so I decided to take it further.”

“I started off by just getting my hair done and wearing a lot of pink, revealing clothes. Then, I got botox and lip fillers and a boob job, taking me from a 32C to a 30G.”

TheSun

Even though her family insist she looks better without all the treatments and surgery, mom-of-one Kerry has spent £100,000 on maintaining her image, including regular Botox, teeth whitening, hair extensions, makeup, and clothes.

Kerry, who is from Essex, UK, spends two hours every morning getting ready, with a routine that includes a jacuzzi, facials, fake tan and fake eyelashes — even though her husband hates the look.

TheSun

“Darren doesn’t like the fake look, he thinks I look better natural,” Kerry says, “But before, I looked so plain and boring — being untouched is horrible.”

“He thinks I shouldn’t have any more surgery, but I’m definitely going to. I want another boob job and a nose job.”

TheSun

“If Darren made me choose between him and my looks, I’d definitely choose my looks. Another husband would soon come along who would appreciate my plastic looks — he might look more like Ken, too!” she laughs.

Kerry’s mom and dad also plead with her to return to a more natural look, saying she looked much better before her transformation.

TheSun

But despite their anguish, it’s Kerry’s parents who have actually paid for many of her procedures.

She has a strict diet and beauty to maintain her look, including running eight miles every day and working out for hours.

TheSun

“Every time I get more Botox or another lip filler, my mom and dad say, ‘What have you done to your face now?'”

“They keep saying I’ll end up looking like a freak, my lips are too big, my boobs are out too much — they think I’ve ruined myself.”

TheSun

“Even though they all hate how I look, they do help out with paying for the surgeries and my designer clothes and shoes, because they know how happy it makes me.”

TheSun

And Kerry has even suffered abuse from strangers for her extreme look, being called a “bad mom” and a “freak”.

“When I get hate from people in the streets, I think it’s just a case of them being jealous,” she says.

TheSun

“I couldn’t give a damn what they think.”

This Is Why People Everywhere Are Wearing Safety Pins

You might’ve spotted more and more people online and in the real world wearing safety pins. It isn’t some kind of punk fashion revival — it’s an expression of solidarity.

Following Donald Trump’s election, many minorities expressed feelings of fear and uncertainty about the future. So people found a way to let concerned groups know they are a “safe” person.

While some people are calling the move an “over-reaction”, it can’t be denied that a wave of post-election hate crimes are sweeping the US, confirming that there is widespread hostility toward minorities.

And the humble safety pin came to the rescue.

The idea was inspired by the Brexit vote in the UK earlier this year, and wearing the pin shows anyone feeling scared that you are an ally and a safe space.

“Without a word, people may see your safety pin and know that you’re a friendly face.”

The hashtag #SafetyPin has been trending on Twitter as people have shared selfies of themselves sporting a safety pin.

Both Of These Twins Are Older Than Each Other, Thanks To Rare Time Paradox

Early one morning, Emily and Seth Peterson were delighted to welcome two gorgeous twin boys, Samuel and Ronan, into the world.

But what makes this birth a little different to any other is that although Samuel was born first, according to the birth certificates, Ronan is actually older. So how can that be?

Facebook

Figured it out yet? It’s because of Daylight Savings Time! Samuel was born at 1:39am on Sunday, November 6th, and Ronan was born 36 minutes later.

The DST shift happens at 2am, so instead of being born at 2:10am, Ronan’s official time of birth was recorded as 1:1oam.

It’s a rare time paradox, and hospital maternity nurse Deb Totten said it was the first time she’d ever seen it happen in over 40 years of nursing.

School Bus Driver Sees Kids’ Treatment Of Boy With Special Needs, Writes This Note

Starting school can be scary for kids (and their parents), but two children went out of their way to make sure their classmate with special needs felt welcome.

A little boy known only as Jackson recently started school. He has special needs and struggles to get on the school bus, and was anxious about making new friends.

Facebook

So two of Jackson’s classmates, Annaliese and Jorge, ask the bus driver every day if they can sit beside Jackson and sometimes they even helped him onto the bus.

The school bus driver, Cindy, saw what these two kind kids were doing and was so touched she wrote to Annaliese and Jorge’s parents.

Facebook

“Some days, Jackson is a little sad getting on the bus, bus as soon as he sees Jorge and Annaliese he smiles,” wrote Cindy, “Jackon has difficulty walking and it takes a bit for him to get to his seat.”

“Today, Annaliese looked out from around her seat and said, ‘Come on Jackson, you can do it!’ and when we arrived at school Jorge took it upon himself to carry his backpack.”

Cindy says she wrote the letter to let the childrens’ parents know just how well they had raised them.

“This can only come from the home, your patience and guidance, the examples that you set and teach,” she wrote.

The uplifting story has already been shared thousands of times on Facebook, with other parents agreeing that the world would be a better place if we could all be a little more like Annaliese and Jorge.

“I know you know how wonderful your children are,” finished Cindy, “But I want you to know that it shows!”

Two-year-old cockapoo Teddy saved his little human’s life when he alerted the family that Reilly, 5, was trapped in the tumble dryer.

Reilly’s mom, Gillian, was cleaning upstairs when Teddy ran up to her, barking crazily and clearly agitated. She followed the pup downstairs to discover a heart-stopping sight: Reilly was inside the activated machine.

RTE

She was able to switch off the machine and grab Reilly, who has Down’s syndrome and has previously undergone life-saving heart surgery. Reilly was rushed to hospital and, amazingly, survived with just burns to his head, back and arms.

“What concerns me most about this situation is the tumble dryer started automatically when the door closed,” said Reilly’s dad, Aaron, “I want to make other families with young children aware of what happened.”

And this isn’t the first time Teddy has saved the family — he recently alerted them that an iPhone charger had burst into flames in the house.

“Teddy will be getting fillet steak tonight,” said Aaron.

RTE

Reilly’s family are currently with him in hospital and the lucky little boy is expected to make a full recovery and be back at home soon — all thanks to Teddy raising the alarm.

Melanie Lynch, 37, suffered extreme eczema for most of her life and ended up addicted to steroid creams for over 30 years after receiving them as treatment for her flaky skin.

Melanie’s eczema steadily worsened, forcing her to use the treatment on her entire body. She finally decided to give up on the creams, but her skin would get worse than she could ever have imagined.

DailyMail

Melanie realized the creams were actually making her skin worse, and suddenly stopping using topical steroid creams caused painful swelling and even hair loss, which she describes as a “living hell”.

“I looked like a monster, my hair and eyebrows fell out, my skin was oozing and fell off everywhere.”

DailyMail

“I would change my bedsheets and pyjamas multiple times a day. Everything was swollen, even my eyes. My skin was bright red, wer from oozing, and gross.”

“About 95% of my body looked like it had been burned. I couldn’t put clothes or even a blanket on because it was so sore.”

DailyMail

“After that it would go very dry and flake everywhere, then it would repeat that cycle.”

Melanie was first prescribed the creams when she was a toddler to treat eczema on her knees and elbows, but, as the condition worsened and the dosage increased, she found herself dependent on the medication, getting through a 100g tube of cream each week.

When she realized her skin wasn’t recovering, the mom-of-two went cold turkey and was horrified by the effect it had on her skin: she was unable to work, couldn’t to sleep, totally housebound, and in constant pain.

DailyMail

But, after years of suffering withdrawal from the creams, Melanie noticed her horrifying reactions start to fade, her skin improving, and her hair growing back.

Now, she finally has clear skin and she couldn’t be happier.

“In the beginning I only thought it would take a year for me to overcome this,” she says, “I never imagined three years later I’d still be battling it.”

DailyMail

“Thankfully, this year has been a lot better, my skin is so much better than it was, I’m finally able to start living a normal life again.”

Campbell dubbed it “Project 365” and so far he’s made over 800 stuffed animals since teaching himself to sew.

Project365

Just this year, Campbell has made 450 stuffed animals and sent them to sick children around the world.

Project365

“When I was 9, I asked my mom and dad if we could buy Christmas presents for kids in hospital,” explains Campbell, “When they told me it would cost too much I decided to make them.”

Project365

“I decided I would make one present a day, which is 365 a year, and give them all away.”

Project365

“I have done this for two Christmases now and I love it. I make special bears to auction and fundraise for people too.”

This Woman Thought Nothing Of This Selfie, Until She Spotted The Ghostly Figure In The Back Seat

Harper Kurtz, from Florida, US, decided to snap some selfies in the passenger seat of her mom’s car one day and accidentally captured something very spooky.

Harper took two photos, and here’s the first. Looks pretty normal, right?

Facebook

But in the second selfie she snapped, there appears to be a figure behind her that definitely wasn’t in the first photo.

Facebook

Harper didn’t even notice the apparition behind her until she was going through her phone photos months later.

“It was a real ‘oh my God!’ moment,” Harper said, “I was really shocked by it, incredibly shocked. I ran into the other room to show friends who were staying with me. Everyone was awestruck.”

Still not convinced? Here’s a close up where you can clearly see an obscured, ghostly face behind Harper.

Facebook

Harper’s mom, Melissa, thinks the ghost, who they believe to be a young child, wanted to warn Harper about wearing a seatbelt.

“It’s something I yell at her about all the time,” she said, “I’ve had 13 traffic tickets in two years due to her not wearing one. She is very stubborn though — I’m always trying to catch her when she hasn’t got in on.”

Facebook

And if that hasn’t creeped you out enough, this story is about to get even spookier — it turns out the location where the selfie was taken has a tragic past.

“There was an automobile accident one year ago exactly,” explains Melissa, “When I looked into it, someone had been medevaced away in a helicopter.”

“However, they would not tell me specific details when I enquired, which leads me to believe that it was a child.”
